Hi all
Can you address me a little bit on the choice of the neurarl network layout? I would like to work with MLP. I remember that there are practical guidelines to follow to avoid overfitting and best choice of the number of neurons.
Do you know some good tutorial or source of info about this topic?
Thank you very much!
Regards
CS

I too need some help with general guidelines for determining the architecture of a NN.

The architecture of model is closely related to problem you try to solve. So please provide some details of your application and someone might be able to help.

Cheers,

If you are not sure about what kind of architecture to use, try several different architectures and see which one works out best in your case.

Alternatively, if you have enough time and processor power, you can evolve your architecture using a genetic algorithm.
