March 23-25, 2012, Wuhan, China

Second International Conference on Information Science and Technology
(ICIST 2012) will be held in Wuhan, China during March 23-25, 2012, a
s a sequel to ICIST 2011 (Nanjing). ICIST 2012 aims to provide a high-
level international forum for scientists, engineers, and educators to
present the state of the art of research and applications of informati
on science and technology. The conference will feature plenary speeche
s given by world renowned scholars, regular sessions with broad covera
ge, and special sessions focusing on popular topics. The ICIST 2012 Pr
oceedings (IEEE catalog number: CFP1242M-CDR and ISBN: 978-1-61284-034
4-7) will be indexed by EI. In addition, selected high-quality papers
would be published in special issues of SCI-journals.

Prospective authors are invited to contribute high-quality papers to
ICIST 2012. In addition, proposals for special sessions within the tec
hnical scopes of the conference are solicited. Special sessions, to be
organized by internationally recognized experts, aim to bring togethe
r researchers in special focused topics. Papers submitted for special
sessions are to be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for the c
ontributed papers. Researchers interested in organizing special sessio
ns are invited to submit formal proposals to ICIST 2012. A special ses
sion proposal should include the session title, a brief description of
the scope and motivation, names, contact information and brief biogra
phical information on the organizers.


Papers of all topics related information science and technology are w
elcome. The topics to be covered at the conference include, but are no
t limited to, the followings:

Track 1: Computer Science and Engineering

Track 2: Signal Processing and Telecommunication

Track 3: Control, Robotics, and Automation

Track 4: Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering

Special session proposals deadline October 1, 2011
Full paper submission deadline November 1, 2011
Notification of acceptance December 15, 2011
Camera-ready copy and author registration February 15,
